"Show & Tell 2 is even better than the first Joe Photo Show & Tell video. You get to see him work, hear how he calms his bride or becomes a fly on the wall. You see how meticulously he shoots and how much fun he is to be around for the bridal party.

I strongly recommend you view the DVD with Joe's commentary, as his comments are insightful and often unexpected.

The video values are superb and interspersed with the video that shows Joe shooting a scene are his finished images of those shots you just saw him shoot, which is extremely conducive to learning. Looking over Joe's shoulder the videographer shows both Joe working and the sequence of events. What is fascinating is to see how Joe isolates moments from the continuous action. Stills are isolated from the video, so you can see exactly where and how he picked the moment.

Of particular value is watching Joe create his formal posed portraits, which are elegantly composed and lit. Yet his technique is minimal; usually—daylight mixed with hotel lighting—chandeliers and sconces—and sometimes bounce flash to get a little twinkle in their eyes. Very simple, but very effective.

Also of interest is how Joe never wastes a minute. If he's not shooting the principals of the wedding, he's shooting details—place settings, the bride's shoes, the beading on the gown, and lots of unexpected small details that might go unnoticed by the untrained eye.
